Sounds of Blackness is an engaging 9-week program that celebrates the richness of Black history and culture through creative movement, music, and storytelling. Designed for youth ages 6-18, this program provides professional instruction in dance and performance arts, offering an empowering space for Black and Brown youth to thrive and connect with their heritage.

Participants will journey through pivotal moments in Black history, exploring themes such as gospel roots, the Civil Rights Movement, and the vibrant artistry of the 90s. Each session includes immersive activities, lunch, and opportunities to learn from community leaders and educators.

This year's program culminates in a breathtaking live performance showcasing the talent and hard work of our participants. Highlights include a live Apollo Talent Show and unforgettable scenes that honor Black resilience, creativity, and cultural legacy.
